Grand Guardian Scholarship
Deadline is April 30, 2008
Plan now for your 2007-2008 college tuition. College costs are increasing by "leaps and bounds" each year. Scholarships are a way of helping defray the cost. Each year at Grand Session, the Grand Guardian Council awards scholarships in the amount of $750 each. All high school graduating seniors, junior college and college students who are Job's Daughters in good standing in the Order and unmarried Majority Members who have not attained the age of twenty-six (26) years may apply.
Remember applications MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN April 30, 2008. No applications for scholarship award can be accepted after that date. (Manual of Rules and Regulations of GGC of Va., IOJD - Art. VIII, Sec. 4 (g) (2) - B-GGC-20).
To apply, request an application from the Chairman, including your full name, home address and telephone number, or download a copy. An application and instruction will be sent. Please read instructions carefully. Applications must be returned to Chairman postmarked no later than April 30, 2008. No application will be considered after that date. Also, each item on application MUST BE COMPLETED.

Past Grand Scholarship
Deadline: Postmarked no later than April 30, 2008.
This scholarship has been established to aid members of Job's Daughters with their education. It may be granted to a Daughter who is, or will be, attending a college, business school or enrolled in a specific business course such as Secretarial (medical or legal), Data Processing, Accounting, etc.

Grand Chapter of Virginia, Order of the Eastern Star - Dodge Powell Scholarship
Deadline is March 31, 2007
Scholarships for Grand Chapter will be presented at the Grand Chapter Session in May 2007.
Eligibility: Members, or daughters or sons of members of the Order of the Eastern Star in Virginia (who are in good standing or were at the time of their death) and/or members in good standing of Job's Daughters International, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, or DeMolay International in Virginia.
Applicants shall be graduating seniors from high school or shall be enrolled in an accredited institution of high learning. The applicant must be a full-time student.
No award shall be made to an applicant who has attained the age of twenty-three (23) years or for studies beyond a Bachelor's Degree.
The scholarship award shall be a gift to the recipient provided he/she COMPLETES the year of study. Official transcripts of the year of study must be forwarded to the Scholarship Committee Chairman. If he/she withdraws from the school during the year, for any reason other than continued illness resulting in his/her inability to attend, the scholarship award will then be considered a loan and must be repaid to the Grand Chapter of Virginia, OES, within two years from the date his/her study terminates. A statement of withdrawal, for any reason, must be forwarded to the Scholarship Committee Chairman.

Grand Court of the Amaranth - Doris Evelyn Ross Dougherty Scholarship
Deadline for applications: Prior to April 1, 2008
To be eligible, applicant must be a high school graduate of the June class of the current year, and a member in good standing in Job's Daughters in Virginia.
The purpose of these awards is to aid Job's Daughters students of outstanding ability to further their education. The scholastic standing of the applicant shall be an average of 85 or above. The applicant's need for this scholarship will be considered.

Supreme Scholarships
Deadline: Postmarked by April 30, 2007
Scholarships are available to aid Job's Daughters of outstanding ability who have a sincerity of purpose in furthering their education. High school seniors or graduates, junior college, technical school or college students and students who are in early graduation programs who are Job's Daughters in good standing in the Bethels may apply for these scholarships.
Subject to availability of funds, these scholarship awards will be $750 for the 2007-2008 academic year.
Applications shall be made on forms supplied by the Supreme Educational Scholarships Committee.

2007 Oustanding Youth Award
Presented by the Grand Lodge of Virginia
Deadline: Applications & accompaniments must be received prior to April 1, 2008
The Grand Master of Masons in Virginia and the Masons of Virginia affirm their commitment to our youth; particularly the DeMolay, Job’s Daughters, and Rainbow. Accordingly, the Grand Lodge of Virginia invites you to apply for the 2007 Grand Master's Outstanding Youth Award. One individual will be selected from each youth group to receive the award and a $500 savings bond. The awards will be presented at the respective Conclave, Session, or Assembly in the Summer of 2008.
To apply, please download and complete the application above along with the following:
- Attach two (2) letters of recommendation from adults. One (1) must be from one of the leaders of your Assembly/Bethel/Chapter.
- In addition, type or write legibly an essay, not exceeding five hundred (500) words on why you are a better person because of membership in DeMolay, Job's Daughters, or Rainbow.
